Signature cocktails are one physical way to express your élan. Much like your bridal wear and the other details you and your partner have chosen for your wedding, a signature wedding cocktail can also speak to who you are. In our case, we have a signature cocktail for every New York Bridal Fashion Week (NYBFW) market we attend. This year’s cocktail, The Sparkling Spritz, is a Hugo Spritz with an homage to the magical transformation of Disney’s “Waltz of the Flowers” – the inspiration for the debuting collection.

Choosing the Right Signature Cocktail
With every NYBFW, there is a signature Edith Élan cocktail. It serves to welcome bridal boutique buyers and the press. It also creates a memorable moment within the Edith Élan market experience. In past years, our cocktails brought Charleston’s Southern hospitality to the north while showcasing locally made ingredients. This year, we wanted a cocktail that embodied the inspiration behind the new collection.
The bridal collection itself embraces playful elegance with versatile styles that honor the magic of change, the charming beauty of soft movement, and the quiet power of intentional design. The Hugo Spritz was an easy decision as it is an elegant cocktail with floral notes. However, the addition of edible glitter creates a sparkle that mirrors the magical transformation of “The Waltz of the Flowers” from Disney’s Fantasia. Thus, the Hugo Spritz became the signature Edith Élan Sparkling Spritz cocktail.
The Sparkling Spritz Cocktail – A Hugo Spritz with a Dash of Magic
As the name suggests, the Edith Élan Sparkling Spritz is a Hugo Spritz with a glittering twist. It also uses the Drillaud Elderflower Liqueur for a more floral note without the added sweetness of other brands. Besides prepping the ingredients, it’s a quick four-step cocktail to make that looks elegant and magical in the end!
The Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- 3 oz Prosecco or sparkling wine
- 2 oz club soda or sparkling water
- 1 oz Drillaud Elderflower Liqueur
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- Ice cubes
- Brew Glitter* in Rose Gold
- Optional: Lime wedge or mint sprig for garnish
*It’s important to use edible glitter. Ensure it is food-grade, FDA-compliant “brew glitter” or “cocktail glitter” that is designed not to dissolve and is tasteless.
Instructions:
1. Muddle the mint. In a large wine glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with the elderflower liqueur to release the oils.

2. Add glitter. Add a couple of pinches of edible glitter (or pumps if the glitter is in a spray pump) directly into the glass.

3. Add ice and mix. Fill the glass with ice. Add in the fresh lime juice, Prosecco, and club soda. Stir gently to combine the ingredients and activate the glitter swirl effect.

4. Garnish and serve. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a lime wedge.
