At Edith Élan, we understand that your wedding day is a once-in-lifetime moment and that there is nothing more personal than what you wear on that day. While many brides and nearlyweds find a design from our stock collections that speaks to their energy and style, some want a look that is even more unique!
Our custom bridal commissions will always be timeless and chic, but they will also be one-of-a-kind designs. You and our designer, Lourdes, will work together to create a piece that is the meticulously crafted to be perfect expression of your personal style and tailored to reflect your individuality.

Due to the time it takes time to create a custom-designed bridal look from first sketch to final stitch, we have a limited number of slots available for custom commissions.

Edith Élan designer, Lourdes, loves to work one-on-one with brides and nearlyweds to create a custom wedding dress, bridal jumpsuit, and/or reception outfit. It all starts by filling out the form below. From there, Lourdes sets an in-person or virtual meeting to get to know you better. During that first meeting, she'll also ask more questions about the ideal design. Then, she'll get to sketching ideas. Once the sketch and fabrics are approved, a pattern will be made from the your measurements. From there, the fabrics are cut and sewn to create a unique wedding look!

A custom garment takes a minimum of 16 weeks. We do recommend, however, starting the custom design process as soon as possible with at least 20 weeks before the wedding date to accommodate for any shipping and/or alterations needed.
We may be able to accommodate a rush, but additional fees apply. A custom rush order is for anything that falls in the 8-15 week window for delivery. A rush order requires a 6-week production time, which is why we cannot accept any orders for less than 8 weeks and still expect to maintain our quality standards.
A custom-designed style starts at $1,800 USD. The final cost of the garment will depend on the silhouette, fabrics, design details, and shipping fees. If a rush order is needed, that will also affect the price.
Final alterations (i.e. bustle) are not included in the cost because they are only available to brides that are local (or able to travel) to Charleston, SC.
At the end of the day, our goal is to stay within the budget.
That's okay! It's not necessary to be a local Charleston bride or nearlywed to have a custom wedding dress or bridal jumpsuit made. That's what technology is for!
With a little coordination, our designer, Lourdes, can meet virtually to discuss the wedding-day look. In regards to the sketch, it will be sent digitally for approval.
If it's within your capabilites, you are more than welcome to travel to Charleston to meet with Lourdes in person!
