An Art-Inspired Winter Wedding in the Chicago Suburbs
Inspired by still-life paintings of the old Dutch Masters, this Chicago winter wedding shoot is life imitating art. Nestled in Lake Forest, Illinois, the historic Armour House is the canvas on which rich, vibrant colors come to life. The marble staircases of the historic building serve as the backdrop for romantic, candlelit portraits.
From the bride’s bouquet to the reception table, beautiful florals create a moody and romantic atmosphere with their deep crimson and vibrant blooms. Life-like sugar flowers cascade down the three-tier cake with the same drama and vibrancy as the natural floral arrangements. The reception table is an old Dutch Master’s vignette. Its wooden tabletop is decorated with sumptuous fabrics, silver candelabras, statement florals, and fruits.
At the center of this romantic wedding: the bride, in an equally romantic modern ballgown wedding dress. The strapless, sweetheart neckline highlights her statement back tattoo. The three-tiered tulle ballgown skirt is trimmed with 3D lace. And, its volume makes for twirl-worthy photos.
