The Design Inspiration
Amaryllis was inspired by photographs of flower x-rays. The unique shape of this mermaid wedding dress is inspired by a flower x-ray turned upsidedown. The petals of the x-rayed flowers inspired the shape of the mikado skirt as it cascades over the delicate tulle underneath. Amaryllis debuted with our first collection, but she earned a place within our Classics Collection as the years went by. Her timeless silhouette and enduring details continue to define the heart of Edith Élan.
